To flip text upside down, type your words into an upside-down text generator and copy the flipped result. The upside-down text generator turns your text into a version that reads the wrong way up, ready to paste anywhere, free and with no sign-up.
That is all it takes. Here is how the trick works.
A flip built from look-alike characters
Upside-down text is a neat use of Unicode. For most letters there is a character somewhere in Unicode that looks like that letter turned over: an upside-down e looks like the schwa, a flipped m looks like a w, and so on. The generator swaps each letter for its flipped look-alike and then reverses the whole string, so that when someone reads it from the start it appears upside down.
Because the result is ordinary characters, it copies and pastes like any text, which is why you can drop it into a bio or a comment.

What it is good for
Upside-down text is pure fun. It makes a comment that makes people tilt their phone, a quirky line in a bio, or a small puzzle for a friend. It is not meant for anything you need read quickly, since the whole point is that it is hard to read straight off.
A couple of characters may stay the right way up, simply because Unicode has no good flipped version of them. The phrase still reads as flipped overall. And as with every styled text, screen readers will not handle it well, so keep it to playful use rather than important information.
